Hutchison Ports enters into agreements with a consortium led by the Alexandria Port Authority to build and operate terminals at Egypt’s ports of Alexandria and EI Dekheila.


Agreement is made to invest in and operate Oman International Container Terminal.


Hutchison Ports acquires Terminal Catalunya S.A. ("TERCAT") Port of Barcelona, Spain.


Europe Container Terminals acquires DeCeTe Duisburger Container Terminal, a large trimodal inland terminal in Duisburg, Germany.

2004

An agreement is reached with the Port Authority of Thailand to develop and operate six container terminals at Chon Buri’s Laem Chabang Port.


Shanghai Mingdong Container Terminals, a joint venture between Hutchison Ports Waigaoqiao and Shanghai International Port Group, is founded to operate a new container terminal at Shanghai’s Waigaoqiao Port.


Hutchison Ports acquires general cargo terminal in the Port of Gdynia, Poland.

2003

Shanghai Pudong International Container Terminals is established by the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Stevedoring Company, Hutchison Ports Pudong, COSCO Pacific (China) Investments, and Shanghai Investment Infrastructure Holdings.


Hutchison Ports acquired Lázaro Cárdenas Terminals Portuaria de Contenedores in the port of Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico.

2002

Hutchison Ports acquires three deep-water container terminals at Busan and Gwangyang ports in South Korea.

2001

Hutchison Ports acquires stake in Ningbo Beilun International Container Terminals.


Hutchison Ports adds eight new port operations to its portfolio in an acquisition investment project. These ports are located in Argentina, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and Thailand.


Hutchison Ports, Hyundai Merchant Marine Company, and Hanjin Shipping jointly establish Korea International Terminals Limited to operate and develop Phase II of Kwangyang Port.

2000

Hutchison Ports acquires stake in KMT Westport and KOJA Terminal in Malaysia and Indonesia.
