Another America Service of GA Calls at YICT

On 9 Aug 2001, the vessel “New York Express” under Grand Alliance made an inaugural call at YICT for the “Shenzhen – Europe – America” Service.

“New York Express”, the pioneer of the service with a length of 294 metres and a capacity of 4,890 TEU, is one of 15 fourth-generation vessels under Grand Alliance to be put into operation.

The service is scheduled to call at YICT every Thursday. The routing mainly includes Halifax, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Manzanillo Port, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yokohama, Kobe, Yantian, HongKong, Kobe, Tokyo, Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Balboa, Manzanillo, Savannah, Norfolk, New York, Halifax, Antwerp, Thamesport, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Halifax.

Grand Alliance consists of 5 member lines i.e. OOCL, NYK, P&O Nedlloyd, Hapag-lloyd and MISC. It has deployed 4 US services at YICT.
