“K” Line Increases Shipping Capacity with New Vessels

On 2 August 2001, the container vessel “Golden Gate Bridge” under “K”Line called at YICT to kick off “K”Line’s vessel replacement plan for its European service. It’s planned to invest in eight new container vessels of the 5th generation with a capacity of 5,500 TEU, and the vessel length of 284.71 metres.

This European service, operated by “K”Line, calls at Yantian every Tuesday. The Ports of call in sequence are Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Said, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Le Haver, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Yantian. The previous container vessels replaced are the 4th generation with a capacity of 3,200TEU on average.
