New Services Launched at Shanghai Container Terminals

[28 April 2000 – Shanghai] Two new weekly services, Shanghai-Mediterranean and Shanghai-US Eastcoast, have recently been launched at Shanghai Container Terminals (SCT). The services are jointly operated by COSCO, Yang Ming and “K” Line.

Eight 3500 TEUs vessels will be put into the Shanghai-Mediterranean weekly service, which depart SCT every Thursday. The maiden voyage was launched on 20 April. Shanghai-US East coast service is deployed with nine 3400 TEUs vessels, departing SCT every Monday. The service commenced on 24 April.

Both services call at Zhang Hua Bang Terminal of SCT.

Since its operation in August 1993, SCT now serves about 60 international weekly schedules, connecting with more than 100 ports around the world.
