22-Jan-2004

Harwich International Port has welcomed DFDS A/S’ decision to increase the frequency of its service between Harwich and Gothenburg, in Sweden, in early 2004.
On 15th January, the sailing schedule on DFDS’ Harwich-Gothenburg “Anglobridge” service was upgraded to three departures per week, in each direction. The service is operated by DFDS Tor Line AB, as agents of DFDS A/S.
David Gledhill, Chief Operating Officer of Harwich International Port, commented:
“We are delighted that DFDS has increased its service between Harwich and Gothenburg, and has shown its continued commitment to this important route”.

He continued:

“The upgrade of this service is excellent news for those wishing to find a fast, efficient freight link between Scandinavia and the UK, and provides further evidence of Harwich International Port’s strategic position as a gateway for Ro-Ro traffic in the South East of England.”
