Hutchison Ports FCP receives new equipment as efforts continues to restore operations

On 20th January, Hutchison Ports FCP received two new Super Mobile Harbour Cranes as part of its post-Hurricane Matthew efforts to quickly restore full terminal operations. These new harbour cranes are capable of handling large container vessels and will restore FCP handling volume to approximately sixty percent. They have been put into commission in 10 days and are now operating.
To ensure efficient service to clients and shipping lines, Godfrey Smith, CEO of FCP, has sent 5 employees to Germany for an extensive training course to operate these cranes at Liebherr’s Headquarters. These restoration efforts are on-going by FCP to provide first-class service to its clients and bring back business to the Bahamas.
