[Photo Caption] Shanghai Container Terminals (SCT) has successfully handled the largest container vessel ever to berth at its terminals since its operations. The above picture shows the “LT Ursula”, a 5,750 TEU vessel, berthed in Jun Gong Lu Terminal at SCT on 28 August 2000.

This large vessel has an overall length of 285 meters and a width capable of stowing 16 boxes across. The “LT Ursula” started her maiden voyage in Hong Kong. She was deployed by Lloyd Triestino to begin her China-Europe-Mediterranean service.
