HUTCHISON PORTS HELPS FIGHT GLOBAL DEFORESTATION

 

Hutchison Ports has undertaken a treeplanting initiative to help reduce the rate of global deforestation inside or near its ports and facilities towards the end of last year’s GoGreen initiative. Hutchison Ports network of ports has been participating in different global environmental initiatives as well as GoGreen events for the past five years, covering waste minimisation and recycling of waste product.

During the latest GoGreen event, some 1,100 participants including staff and families together with business partners planted over 4,200 trees of various species inside and around the terminals to protect biodiversity.
