Regional Operations Centre

The concept of Regional Operations Centre (ROC) was conceived as a shared service centre which covers centralised stowage planning delivery for terminals located in the same region by the group’s in-house expertise.

With ample supply of young and educated workforce talents, high quality telecommunication services and strong economic ties under China’s Belt and Road initiatives, Pakistan is chosen to be the home of ROC.

Hutchison Ports Pakistan, the flagship terminal in the Middle East & Africa region will be the first terminal in the group to introduce ROC services. ROC will offer centralised stowage planning to both Pakistan terminals located at Karachi, as well as other terminals in Asia.

National Operating Centre

Like ROC, National Operating Centre (NOC) offers shared service centre to capitalize on functional synergies and economies of scale to transform our terminals to a unique transport hub located at a specific geographic location.

2018 will be an exciting year for NOC located at United Arabs Emirates (UAE). In the pipeline there are plans to establish its own office to consolidate resources to enhance UAE NOC’s role as a shared service provider to three BUs located at Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.

NOC offers back-office functions such as centralised Human Resources for recruitments, onboarding and payroll services; procurement related vendor database for sharing and negotiations; remote & on-site IT support; civil infrastructure tasks and supervisory functions for engineering and operations.
