Harwich International Port has recently seen an influx of Ford cars and vans coming into the port.

Since March 2001, the Belgian Shipping Company, Cobelfret, have been using the East Anglian port to bring in the vehicles which are then stored at a 15acre hard standing site within the port’s boundary.

The vehicles are currently being moved out by road or alternatively via the port’s own intermodal railhead to locations throughout the UK.

Sunday, 13th May, saw the “Valentine” discharge 585 Ford Transit Vans (picture available) by the port’s labour.
